On June 23-26 in Philadelphia, ACTNext presents a new skill at #ISTE19 (the annual International Society for Technology in Education Conference and Expo).

“Alexa, when is the next ACT test?”

The new skill, created for Amazon Alexa, a cloud-based voice service, is an ACT assistant that guides users through ACT registration and finding test dates and locations. Users can set up the skill for test-taking tips and set reminders for test dates and registration deadlines. The skill is also available on Alexa-enabled devices like Amazon Echo.

“Alexa, how do I prepare for the ACT test?”

The skill also connects with ACT Academy for free test prep. ACT Academy is a free online personalized learning tool and test practice program that helps students prepare for ACT test success.

The ACT skill for Alexa is slated for beta testing and public release later this year.

Steve Polyak and Kurt Peterschmidt led the development of the prototype tool. They had programming help from Srinidhi Daripally and Brice Paris.

Steve and Kurt will be in the ACT booth (#963) in Philadelphia giving demonstrations of the new Alexa skill. Stop by and see what she can do!
