As a Principal Assessment Designer, Tom Langenfeld endeavors to apply principles from Design Science, psychometrics, learning theory, and lean to the development of ACT products and services. Dr. Langenfeld’s background as a teacher at the secondary and post-secondary levels, as a manager and director of test development, and as a program evaluator provides him with a broad set of skills and experiences for developing wide-ranging educational and workforce solutions.
Tom enjoys working in teams and the challenge of assisting team members to analyze needs and identify the critical components needed for valid and effective educational products. In the recent past, he has assisted in facilitating solutions for workforce and international programs.
Tom holds degrees from Iowa State University, the University of Iowa, and the University of Florida.
